My passion for photography began early. As a baby, I was already playing with my dad’s photography gear. He taught me how to use a light meter and adjust aperture and shutter speed on his Argus C3 camera.
At age 6, I received my first box camera, held at waist level for shooting. In junior high, my curiosity led me to build a darkroom where I developed my own film and prints.
As an adult, I got a Minolta X-700 and began photographing concerts at the high school where I worked.
In 2018, I received my first DSLR—a Nikon D300—which marked a turning point in my skills. I soon upgraded to a full-frame Nikon D600. When I grew interested in astrophotography, a friend sold me his Nikon D850 at a price I couldn’t pass up.
I joined the Redlands Camera Club, where I honed my craft further and won several photography awards. Over time, I built a reputation as an outstanding photographer, and many now ask me for guidance and photo shoot sessions.
Encouraged by consistent praise and support, I launched my own website and began selling prints on Etsy in 2025.
My journey began not with a camera, but with a backpack and a deep love for the untamed silence of the High Sierras. For me, the trail is a sanctuary, my home!
